I am so excited to be kicking off my mom and lifestyle blog at this start of 2018! One of my Christmas presents from my husband was a photo shoot in Nashville while we were back home for holidays. He wanted it to be a surprise but quickly realized I needed A LOT of prep before I was camera ready. Obvi, since this includes (but not limited to) tanning, hair, nails, makeup, outfit, and childcare which takes time to organize and execute.
While planning this shoot I started to second guess myself and say, “this is not very mom-ish.” Then I had a revelation! I may be a mom but I refuse to be caught looking like one. While getting tips from the besties, one of them said, “As someone who wants to remain normal/myself post-children, I don’t want to exclusively see blogs about how to make placenta smoothies and how to do ‘mom workouts’ around the house by lifting brooms and squatting with a stroller. I want something that makes me feel like me!” Just because I’m a mom doesn’t mean I have to change the way I look, feel, or dress. Yes, I may not have the time to be dressed to the nines or be in full glam every day, but I want to encourage you other moms to make the time to feel pretty! Look good = feel good, feel good = do good. Self confidence is directly related to productivity. So go get yourself a mani/pedi, a blowout, or a new lipstick mama…and take on the world!

Daaaaaaaamn Momma~ You are EVERYTHING 😘. I love you beyond words my girl! Always & Forever xoxoxo
Love you too sweet friend, you will always have a special place in my heart!
You nailed it! Love the content profile. I too am sick of the typical (snoozer) Mom blogs: placenta smoothie (lol, no offense though to the mama’s that do that, to each her own). While I’m into nutrition and fitness, I don’t really want to see “mom workouts” with a broom in the kitchen. I think it’s brilliant that you acknowledge how important it is for moms to feel good NOT guilty by practicing self-care. Let’s celebrate that we can prioritize self-care while being amazing moms! In fact, self-care enables us to be even better moms. Congrats on the launch! Looking forward to watching this blog flourish! Love you, babe.
Yassss! It’s so important. Thank you so much for the comment. Love you too, girl!
💗Awesome blog! Love reading and seeing your posts! You’re an amazing woman!
Thank you cousin!! So glad you like it. ❤️
Looking fierce… and gorgeous as always! Congrats and good luck in your new endeavor.
Thank you my seeet friend! Miss you.
Where is this at in Nashville?!?
It’s a graffiti wall next to Barista Parlor in East Nashville.
Hey. I have only read your “about” page. I am a home health RN that takes care of medically fragile kids. I would like to say that your daughter is not the only special person ( I know the rest of your family is special ) but you are a very very special mom.
I collect stuff to do stuff but never do the stuff I collected stuff for.😀 I commend you on trying to focus 100% on what you want.
I would also like to tell you that I was out of the nursing field for about 5 years and could not get back in. Everyone wanted recent experience. I even spent several thousand on a review class that they said would help. It did not. Even the hospital where I did clinical was not interested in hiring me. I finally found my present company and am thankful but I still don’t know if a hospital will hire me. I would suggest doing a PRN thing to keep your toe in the door.
My son is a firefighter in Clarksville Tennessee. Maybe if you live near there we can meet for coffee or tea.
I am just getting started on my blog. I am very excited..
